Ashadha Maasa Bonalu 2016 will be celebrated on 31st July in Old city of Hyderabad in Telangana while Goddess Mahankali Ghatalu installation procession will kick start from Kasi Viswanath Temple in Shalibanda on 24th July.Mahankali pooja rituals continue for one week with Goddess Ghatam installation.Devotees Mass Bonalu procession will be on 31st july and festival concludes with Rangam programme on 1st Aug.
Lashkar Bonalu (Secunderabad) starts a week ahead of Old city Bonalu.Goddess rituals kick starts on 17th July with Ghatam installation.There will be mass Bonalu programme on 24th July and festival concludes with Rangam and immesrion of Ghatam in Mass procession on 25th July.

Deputy
Chief Minister Md.Mehmood ali held a review meeting on Thursday with officials
of GHMC and Home, Excise department on Bonalu arrangements as Hyderabad is gearing
up for Ashadhamasa Bonalu the state festival in July 2016.Minister Talasani
Srinivas yadav has also participated in it.Officials were told to make
necessary arrangements for the festival and form a coordination committee to do
the services at the ease.
They
have been directed to pay attention on sanitation, road-repairs, drinking water
and uninterrupted power supply, and take care of the security aspect of the
event without causing any inconvenience to the devotees.
The
government is firm on celebrating the two weeks long festivities in a huge way
through publicity in cinema theatres, hoardings and the media. special
buses will be arranged for devotees coming from other districts and neighboring
states.Temples will be barricaded in view of huge flow of devotees.Ministers
also discussed in detail about Traffic regulation, police bandobust, fire
services and security .
Laskhar
Bonalu kick starts from 17th July with Ghatalu installation and
continue till 24th July.There will be mass offering of Bonalu (Bonam
= Food) to the Goddess Mahankali on 24th July and festivities in
Lashkar concludes on 25th with Rangam programme and immersion of
Goddess in a huge procession.
While
in Old city The Ghatam installation ceremony is on 24th July and
main Bonalu festivities on 31st July.
